Heritage Shores Plantation is located near the banks of the pristine Yeopim Creek, which traverses a tree-lined landscape of beautiful wetlands replete with a variety of wildlife. The Yeopim directly accesses the vast open waters of the Albemarle Sound, the largest freshwater bay in the United States. The Sound is a breathtaking body of water that has attracted adventurers and explorers from all over the world throughout its rich and exciting history. It is clearly the centerpiece of the Albemarle Region. The natural beauty of this area is an enchanting backdrop to new and exciting private communities.
Heritage Shores Plantation consists of two separate subdivisions: Heritage Shores North and Heritage Shores South. Heritage Shores North consists of 39 lots, and Heritage Shores South consists of 62. Both subdivisions are located in Perquimans County, North Carolina in the 27944 area. In each subdivision, the size of waterfront properties average just above an acre, and interior lots range between 3-5 acres. The interior lots have access to the water through a “Boatominium”, which provides boating access for its owners.
Both subdivisions have “Covenants” and “By-Laws” (North/South) that are on file at the Perquimans County Land Records office. Each organization has a Board of Directors and officers who manage the business and internal affairs.
Both subdivisions have the objective of building high quality community in North Carolina’s Albemarle Region. To that end, both organizations utilize this website for regular communications.
